We kicked off the 2019 season at Grasmere Village Hall amidst snow, hail and torrential rain. Visitors and stallholders all put on a brave face and we are crossing our fingers that our next event, also at Grasmere, will be a bit warmer!

This year we will again be fundraising for Grasmere Red Squirrel Group at Grasmere and for Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group when we are at Pooley Bridge. A clever person in the Penrith area spotted the elusive "Cumbrian Snow Squirrel" - photo courtesy of them.

In 2019 we will be including a number of local artisan stalls at our fairs. There is great demand for local, hand made products and are a great complementary fit with antiques, art and collectables. New stallholders selling antiques, collectables, vintage items as well as local artisans are invited to contact us to discuss opportunities to stand at our fairs.

That's all folks!!! Our last fair of the year has been and gone. Huge thank you to everyone that has attended our events this year, stallholders, hall committee members, etc.

At our events this year we have been fundraising to support our native red squirrels. Thanks to donations from visitors and stallholders we have raised a total of £300. This was shared between Grasmere Red Squirrel Group, Penrith and District Red Squirrel Group and Westmorland Red Squirrels.

Our calendar for 2019 is available on our website we look forward to seeing you all again in 2019.
